- Project descriptionBANAKALE ISIMALI REDD+ is composed of the Plain of Tomo and Santa Teresita del Tuparro Indigenous Reserves, who work together to protect the forest by reducing and controlling deforestation. Its name 'BANAKALE' comes from the indigenous language of the Sikuani people, which means the variety of seeds found in the conucos and in the orchards and the word "ISIMALI" means work, strength, dedication, responsibility and leadership, which complements the work done by the community through this REDD project
