- Project descriptionThe main objective of the present REDD project is the conservation of 186,219.06 ha of Amazon rainforest area within a private land named “Fazenda Seringal Novo Macapá” that will be achieved through avoidance of unplanned deforestation. Agrocortex Madeiras do Acre Agroflorestal Ltda. committed to conserve the forest area. the revenue from this REDD project is essential for the continued conservation of this native rainforest area. Conservation activities include increased monitoring to the prevent invasion of illegal deforestation by outside agents and banning of unplanned logging and other unpermitted degradation within the project area.
