  This micro-project aims to restore degraded forest areas on former farm lands, through tree planting and agroforestry activities. Farmers will be fully involved in plantation activities. The project aims at planting mainly native tree species in mixed stands over 200ha after 3 years. Half of the selected species will bring economic revenues to local farmers through the sales of fruits and other NTFPs (walnut, chestnut, fuelwood, natural compost…). The other half shall bring environmental benefits through the reduction of erosion, the improvement of land condition in particular with Nitrogen-fixing species, and the enhancement of local biodiversity.
