Developed approach will contribute to the community based forest management, as well as community based mitigation measure for REDD in Lao PDR. This approach consists of 4 main components. 1) Institutional set up at village level, 2) Land and forest use zoning, 3) mitigation activities including both forest management and alternative livelihood options and 4) village fund management.
