- Project descriptionThe project is part of a bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Korea, under the "Korea-Indonesia Joint Project for Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in Forestry through an A/R CDM and REDD in Indonesia 2009 -2013". The AR/CDM project in East Lombok has the following objectives: - to re-establish the currently non-forested area in Sekaroh protection forest - to control soil degradation - to increase water storage and increase water quality - to contribute to local economy by introducing an agroforestry system integrating seasonal agricultural activities with reforestation - to mitigate climate by absorbing CO2 from atmosphere through tree plantation
