- Project descriptionThis project focuses on promoting bee-keeping and woodlot development as key strategies to alleviate the degradation of the agro-ecosystems of Dawadawa and surrounding communities in the Northern Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. It thus seeks to provide alternative livelihoods for local communities to reduce the pressure of degradation on the forest reserve. The project is one of the seven REDD+ pilots currently coordinated by the Climate Change Unit of the Forestry Commission which also serves as the REDD+ secretariat of the REDD+ Technical Working Group of Ghana.
