The Manu-Amarakaeri Ecosystem Program (MAC) is a work alliance between indigenous communities, land holders and NGOs working together to sustainably manage forests and to originate, develop and sell environmental credits, including forest carbon. The overall goal of MAC is to contribute to the diversification of a pro-ecosystem local economy. This is being achieved by supporting sustainable economic activities and integrating a diverse group of local landholders in a successful forest carbon value chain.
