  In the province Salta a nature reserve will be protected against further degradation and will be partly afforested. Native tree species are going to be planted. The afforestation and rehabilitation measures are conducted on the area of the nature reserve which is property of the 'Club Amigos de la Montana'. The nature reserve is in about 26km distance from the capital city of the province Salta and is located at the shores of a water reservoir in the Andean mountain range. The project aims for the rehabilitation of the natural vegetation; this goal is coupled with an increase of the biodiversity to its old value and with the carbon sequestration.
