    This project leverages carbon finance to avoid mosaic conversion of tropical forests and therefore reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Through a combination of forest protection and sustainable development activities, this project is estimated to avoid the emission of 2.8 Million metric tonnes of CO2e over the project lifetime. The project will utilize carbon revenues to fund 14 activities designed to reduce deforestation in the project area, by building governance capacity, Improving enforcement and management, developing economic alternatives and incentives.
