  The Pax Natura project is an avoided deforestation (REDD+) project on private lands located in the Central Volcanic Mountain Range of Costa Rica. The project aims to: - Mitigate carbon dioxide emissions, and protect biodiversity and water resources in forest areas bordering national parks by reducing deforestation; - Contribute to efforts to prevent climate change; - Participate in maintaining the biological integrity of the landscape in the Central Volcanic Range Conservation Area.
